Cooperation with HPI

BSS is pleased to announce that we will be operating in Colombia in cooperation with our associate HPI and our Cali based office, Broadfield Servicios de seguridad Colombia BSS Columbia.

BSS Colombia provides professional services in Colombia including security management and training.

Working closely with BSS Colombia, HPI will be providing specialty oil and gas consultancy including security management services for the exploration, production and transportation processes including inter-field and mainline pipeline networks, oilfields and associated facilities.

In addition, HPI, the BSS Group and BSS Colombia will be facilitating Critical Infrastructure Protection certificate training including the international Pipeline Security (Oilfield Protection) Specialist™ Programme.

01-dB Metravib will lauch it's new product PILARw Weapon Mounted System (WMS) for dismounted soldiers and/or heavy support weapons in June 2012 (prototypes will be available from april 2012). If you are interested in a demonstartion see the information below or get in touch with us.

Demonstrations will be conducted during:

Live demonstration in LEHNIN camp - Germany - 8th of March 2012 (close to Berlin).

Het GO SAFER projectvoorstel fase 2 voor de SBIR Fysieke bescherming is goedgekeurd. BSS zal in de komende 18 maanden in samenwerking met Thales Nederland en Parosha Innovators het onbemande voertuig gaan ontwikkelen voor in eerste de Nederlandse brandweer.

Voor dit project zoeken wij naar technologie partners die synergie kunnen creëren op het gebied van sensoren voor navigatie en ‘situational awarenes’ en effectoren zoals blusinstallaties en tevens zoeken we naar organisaties die geïnteresseerd zijn in het mede vermarkten van het product en of mede financieren van de go to market fase.

Small Business Innovation Research Programme project GO SAFER project

The second phase for our Small Business Innovation Research Programme project GO SAFER has been approved by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation! In the coming 18 months we will work on building the prototype together with Thales The Netherlands and Parosha Innovators. Project hand-held scanner Dutch Police and National Forensic Institute

As part of a coordinated innovation a sub-project has been conducted in which the value of the 3D hand scanner of the Israeli company Mantis Vision is investigated. Investigators from the National Police Agency, Rotterdam-Rijnmond and IJsselland have had training in using the scanner and during the project the scanner rotates between these forces and is used where possible. The first results of this project were presented during the Forensic Visualisation Conference.

BSS receives Small Business Innovation Research Program

BSS received approval for a Small Business Innovation Research Program from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. This project, GOSAFER, envisages the development of a generic unmanned robotic vehicle for use by fire and the ambulance services and which can play an important role in accident and disaster response. 3D hand scanner for recording of scenes and objects

BSS Technology is supporting Mantis Vision's 3D hand scanner on the Dutch market. The system enhances the 3D scanning and analysis process at for example crime scenes for the police and military. Besides these markets the hand scanner is very useful as an additional tool next to the standard laser scanners used in the engineering and construction market. BSS supports The Trident Group with their Maritime Boarding Alert Device

BSS supports The Trident Group by positioning their MBAD system in the market.
MBAD® is the acronym for Trident Group’s, US Patented, maritime force protection (FP) offering. It stands for “Maritime Boarding Alert Device”. MBAD supplies something that other FP products do not. An early warning system that has both repelling components (Counter Piracy) and alerting components (Anti Piracy) which works before intruders are on board a vessel.
Most other systems are designed to activate once the intruder is over the rail of the vessel, which, means the crew is already playing catch up to Force Protection and is in real trouble. Once an intruder is on board, you are faced with a completely different scenario of which compliance by the crew is the only real response if your hope is for crew survival.
The majority of successfully averted acts of piracy result from the vessel being aware that they are being targeted. Currently, this awareness requires greater attention to radars, increased deck watches, and possibly embarked security teams. The need for increased focus on possible boarders is a burden to crews and vessel operations. MBAD does not require an additional manpower load at all. Once the system is installed, it will immediately alert the Bridge, and other Key Crew Members, that climbers are about to board your vessel. Simultaneously, as MBAD alerts the ship, it sends out a repelling medium that will drive all but the most determined and prepar
